1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SharedNest, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

SharedNest provides a co-parenting calendar platform that enables divorced and separated parents to manage shared custody schedules, communicate, track expenses, and generate court-ready documentation.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use SharedNest.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform to harass, threaten, or intimidate another user
• Upload false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data
• Use the platform for any purpose other than co-parenting coordination
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service

5. Messaging & Communication

Messages sent through SharedNest are logged and cannot be edited or deleted. This is by design — SharedNest is intended to serve as a legal record of co-parent communication. By using the messaging feature, you consent to this permanent logging.

6. Court Documentation

SharedNest generates court-ready PDF reports with integrity hashes for verification. While we strive for accuracy, SharedNest is not a legal service and does not provide legal advice. The admissibility of SharedNest records in court proceedings depends on your jurisdiction. Consult your attorney for legal guidance.

7. Billing & Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Prices are listed on our pricing page and may change with 30 days’ notice. All subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. You may cancel at any time — access continues through the end of your current billing period.

One subscription covers the entire family. The subscribing parent pays; the co-parent joins for free.

8. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you enter into SharedNest. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the service.

9. Professional Access

You may grant read-only access to attorneys, mediators, or guardians ad litem through the Attorney Access feature. You control who has access and may revoke it at any time. SharedNest is not responsible for how professionals use data you share with them.

10. Limitation of Liability

SharedNest is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for ongoing legal disputes.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class action lawsuits.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.
